The DRK311 Derek Water Vapor Transmittance Tester is a three chamber independent infrared method suitable for measuring the water vapor transmittance of plastic films, composite films, and other film and sheet materials. By measuring the water vapor transmittance, the technical indicators of packaging materials and other products can be controlled and adjusted to meet the different needs of product applications.
DRK311 Derek Water Vapor Permeability Tester Three Chamber Independent Infrared Method. The equipment testing principle is to clamp the pre processed sample between the test chambers, with nitrogen gas with a certain relative humidity flowing on one side of the film and dry nitrogen gas flowing on the other side of the film. Due to the presence of humidity gradient, water vapor will diffuse from the high humidity side through the film to the low humidity side. On the low humidity side, the water vapor passing through is carried to the sensor by the flowing dry nitrogen gas, When entering the infrared sensor, different spectral signals will be generated. By analyzing and calculating the different spectral signals, the water vapor transmittance and other parameters of the sample can be obtained.
