Usage of vacuum drying oven

Edit Voice

Environmental requirements for use

a) Temperature: 5-40 ℃
b) Relative humidity: ≤ 85% RH
c) Power supply voltage: 220V ± 10%; 50Hz
d) There is no strong vibration or corrosive gas impact around

Vacuum debugging

a) Close the box door and tighten the door handle in place, close the air release valve (twist the hole on the rubber stopper 90 ° from the hole on the air release valve), and open the vacuum valve (rotate counterclockwise 90 °). The vacuum valve may be tightly closed during secondary use, and can be forcefully rotated.
b) Vacuum connection pipe with random accessories (inner diameter: Φ 16mm wall thickness: 10mm) Connect the vacuum drying oven exhaust pipe (outer diameter: Φ 16mm) and vacuum pump (2XZ-2 type, inlet outer diameter Φ 16mm) firmly connected (6090 and 6210 models already connected). Connect the vacuum pump power supply and start pumping. When the indicated value of the vacuum gauge reaches -0.1Mpa, close the vacuum valve first and then turn off the vacuum pump power supply to prevent the vacuum pump oil from flowing back into the working chamber. (6090 and 6210 models do not have vacuum valves and can directly turn off the vacuum pump power supply on the panel) At this time, the box is in a vacuum state. [3]

Vacuum box debugging

After the vacuum degree debugging is completed, the following operations can be performed:
a. Turn on the power supply of the vacuum box, and the power indicator light should be on (6090 and 6210 models should be turned on separately). The temperature controller should be powered on for self inspection, and the PV screen will display the measured temperature in the working room, while the SV screen will display the temperature set at the factory. The AT and HEAT lights on the temperature controller should light up, indicating that the instrument is in a heating state.
b. Modify the set temperature
1. Press the function key (SET) of the temperature controller once; After displaying SP characters on the PV screen, the temperature setting can be modified using the key button (6090 and 6210 models should be set and modified separately for 2 and 3 instruments, similar to the following).
After completing the modifications, press the SET key again, and the PV screen will display the ST character to set the timing time.
If the timing function is not used, still set it to ST=0
3. Press the SET button again to display the studio temperature on the PV screen and the new set temperature on the SV screen. The AT and HEAT lights on the instrument panel will turn on, and the instrument panel will resume heating operation.
c. When the temperature in the studio approaches the set temperature, the HEAT light flickers on and off, indicating that the heating has entered the PID adjustment stage. Sometimes the temperature measured by the instrument exceeds the set temperature, and sometimes falls below the set temperature, which is a normal phenomenon. When the measured temperature is close to or equal to the set temperature, wait for 1-2 hours before the studio enters a constant temperature state and the item enters the drying stage.
d. When the required temperature is low, a secondary setting method can be used. For example, if the required working temperature is 70 ℃, set it to 60 ℃ first. After the temperature overshoot starts to fall back, set it to 70 ℃ again. This can reduce or even eliminate the phenomenon of temperature overshoot, and enter a constant temperature state as soon as possible.
e. After the item has dried, turn off the power. If the temperature drops faster, open the vent valve to set the vacuum to 0. Wait for about 5 minutes before opening the box door.
4. If the humidity of the dry material in the studio is high, the generated moisture will affect the performance of the vacuum pump. It is recommended to connect a "drying/filter" between the drying oven and the vacuum pump.
5. If inert gases such as nitrogen need to be added during the drying process, it should be specified in the contract and an inlet valve should be added.
(Note: 1. If the vacuum pump is normal and meets technical requirements and cannot be vacuumed, open the door of the box and use the wrench in the product attachment to tighten the door buckle on the box one turn inward and close the door again. 2. This vacuum drying box cannot be used as an electric heating drying box, as the working room is not in a vacuum state, resulting in a significant difference between the measured temperature and the actual temperature inside the working room.) [1]

Operation process

1. Place the material evenly on the sample rack in the vacuum drying box and push it into the drying box
2. Close the box door tightly, the air release valve, and there are bolts on the box door, which can tightly connect the box door with the silicone sealing strip
3. Connect the vacuum pump to the vacuum valve, open the vacuum valve, and vacuum
4. According to the performance of the vacuum pump, the limit value of the vacuum pump is based on the pressure gauge drawn
5. After vacuuming, close the vacuum valve first. If the vacuum valve is not tightly closed, replace it, and then turn off or remove the power supply of the vacuum pump. (To prevent reverse suction)
6. The drying cycle of our materials should be observed at regular intervals, such as the calendar, temperature gauge, and changes in the box body, to handle. If the pressure gauge index decreases, there may be air leakage, and air extraction can be performed again
7. After the drying is completed, first open the vent valve to release the gas inside, and then open the vacuum drying box door to remove the material. [1]

Precautions for use

1. The shell of the vacuum box must be effectively grounded to ensure safe use.
2. The vacuum box should be used in an environment with a relative humidity of ≤ 85% RH, without corrosive gases, strong vibration sources, and strong electromagnetic fields around it.
3. The vacuum box studio is not treated with explosion-proof or anti-corrosion measures, and flammable, explosive, or corrosive gas prone items are not allowed to dry.
4. The vacuum pump cannot operate for a long time. Therefore, when the vacuum degree meets the requirements for dry items, the vacuum valve should be closed first, and then the vacuum pump power should be turned off. When the vacuum degree is less than the requirements for dry items, the vacuum valve and vacuum pump power should be turned on again to continue vacuuming, which can extend the service life of the vacuum pump.
5. If dry items are damp, a filter should be added between the vacuum box and the vacuum pump to prevent damp gases from entering the vacuum pump and causing the vacuum pump to malfunction.
6. If dry items change to light weight and small size (in the form of small particles) after drying, a barrier net should be added to the vacuum outlet in the studio to prevent damage to the vacuum pump (or solenoid valve) due to the inhalation of dry materials.
7. After multiple uses of the vacuum box, there may be a phenomenon of not being able to vacuum. At this time, the door seal should be replaced or the door buckle extension distance on the box should be adjusted to solve the problem. When the drying temperature of the vacuum box is higher than 200 ℃, slow air leakage will occur (except 6050, 6050B, 6051, 6053). At this time, remove the cover plate at the back of the box and unscrew the heater base with a Hex key, replace the seal ring or tighten the heater base to solve the problem.
If the rubber plug of the air release valve is difficult to rotate, it can be lubricated with an appropriate amount of grease inside. (e.g. Vaseline)
9. Except for maintenance, the left box cover (excluding 6090 and 6210 models) cannot be removed to avoid damaging the electrical control system.
10. The vacuum box should be kept clean regularly. The box door glass should not be wiped with reactive chemical solutions, and should be wiped with a soft cotton cloth.
11. If the vacuum box is not used for a long time, wipe off the exposed electroplating parts and apply neutral grease to prevent corrosion. Cover them with a plastic film dust cover and place them in a dry room to prevent electrical components from being damaged by moisture and affecting their use.
When the vacuum box does not require continuous air extraction, the vacuum valve should be closed first, and then the power supply of the vacuum pump should be turned off, otherwise the vacuum pump oil will be poured into the box.
