1. Regular or regular inspection of the operation of contactors and necessary maintenance are important measures to ensure reliable operation and extend their lifespan. When inspecting or repairing, the power should be disconnected first and the following steps should be followed.

Visual inspection

To remove dust, use a cotton cloth dipped in a small amount of gasoline to wipe off the oil stains, and then dry with a cloth.

Tighten all screws for crimping wires to prevent looseness, detachment, and heating of the connecting parts

Arc extinguishing hood maintenance

2.1 Remove the arc extinguishing cover and use a brush to remove any loose objects or metal particles inside the cover. If cracks are found on the arc extinguishing cover, it should be replaced in a timely manner.

2.2 For the grid arc extinguishing cover, attention should be paid to whether the grid is complete, burnt, deformed, severely loose, or has changed position. If it is difficult to repair, it should be replaced.

3. Contact system inspection

3.1 Check whether the dynamic and static contacts are aligned, whether the three phases are closed simultaneously, and adjust the contact spring to make the three phases consistent.

3.2 Shake the insulation resistance value between phases. When using a 500V megger, its phase to phase resistance should not be less than 10 megohms.

3.3 When the thickness of contact wear exceeds 1mm, or when it is severely burned or welded off, a new part should be replaced. Slight burning or fuzzing or blackening of the contact surface does not affect use and may not be treated. If contact is affected, a small file can be used to smooth and polish.

3.4 After repairing or replacing the contacts, attention should be paid to the contact distance and overtravel. Contact overtravel will affect the final pressure of the contact.

3.5 Check whether the auxiliary contact operates flexibly, whether the static contact is loose or detached, and whether the contact distance and stroke meet the requirements. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the contact. If poor contact is found and difficult to repair, replace it with a new contact.
