1、 Overview

 

This instrument mainly tests the thermal resistance of thin thermal conductors, thermal conductive silica gel sheets, thermal conductive resins, Beryllium oxide ceramics, alumina ceramics and other fine materials, as well as the contact thermal resistance at the solid interface and the thermal conductivity of materials. The testing material is generally in the form of solid flakes, and if a frame is added, it can also detect powder and paste materials.

 

Instrument reference standard: MIL-I-49456A (insulation sheet, thermal conductive resin, thermal conductive glass fiber reinforced); GB 5598-2015 (Determination of Thermal Conductivity of Beryllium oxide Porcelain - Rod Shaft Method); ASTM D5470-12 (Test Standard for Heat Transfer Performance of Thin Thermal Conductive Solid Electrical Insulation Materials), GB/T38712-2020 (Experimental Method for Thermal Conductivity of Ultra Thin Glass - Heat Flow Method), GB/T29313-2012 Test Method for Thermal Conductivity Performance of Electrical Insulation Materials, etc..

 

The instrument has automatic pressurization, automatic thickness measurement, and fully computerized automatic measurement and control functions.

 

The DRL-5 instrument is developed on the basis of the DRL-3 instrument and has the following characteristics:

 

1. A protective thermal device has been added around the test rod inside the test head (this device can provide thermal protection for the sample), expanding the temperature range of the instrument testing and reducing the impact of environmental temperature on the testing.

 

2. The addition of a temperature difference thermocouple stack for heat flow testing on the test rod inside the test head improves the resolution, accuracy, and repeatability of heat flow testing.

 

3. Canceled the compensation of ice water mixture for the cold junction of thermocouples, simplifying operation and facilitating use.

 

4. Experimental methods such as "aging reliability testing", "high thermal conductivity material testing", and "contact thermal resistance testing between specimens" have been added.

 

The DRL-3 and DRL-5 instruments can be widely used for material thermal analysis testing in universities, research institutions, quality inspection departments, and production factories.
