1、 Introduction to Silicon Molybdenum Rod
Silicon molybdenum rod resistive electric heating element is made of Molybdenum disilicide, which is resistant to high temperature and oxidation. When used in a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere, a bright and dense quartz (SiO2) glass film is formed on the surface, which can protect the inner layer of the silicon molybdenum rod from oxidation. 2、 Precautions for silicon molybdenum rods
1.1. Silicon molybdenum rod heating elements should not be used within the temperature range of 400 ℃ to 700 ℃, as under these unfavorable conditions, the elements will undergo low-temperature oxidation and cause damage to the elements.
2.2. Silicon molybdenum rod heating elements are suitable for use in air and neutral atmospheres. Reducing atmospheres such as hydrogen can damage the protective layer, and chlorine and sulfur vapor can directly damage the elements.
