Deep cooling air separation equipment

The basic principle of air separation is to use low-temperature distillation method to condense air into a liquid, and separate the air according to the different evaporation temperatures of each component. The two-stage distillation tower obtains both pure nitrogen and pure oxygen at the top and bottom of the upper tower; Liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen can also be removed from the evaporation side and condensation side of the main cooling system, respectively. The air separation in the distillation tower is divided into two stages. The air undergoes the first separation in the lower tower to obtain liquid nitrogen and oxygen rich liquid air; The oxygen rich liquid air is sent to the upper tower for distillation to obtain pure oxygen and nitrogen. The upper tower is further divided into two sections: with the liquid air inlet as the boundary, the upper section is the distillation section, which distills the rising gas, recovers oxygen components, and purifies nitrogen purity. The lower section is the distillation section, which separates the nitrogen components from the liquid and improves the oxygen purity of the liquid.


Process flow:

1. Air compression: The air is compressed to 0.5~0.7Mpa by the air compressor;

2. Pre cooling: Air is pre cooled to 5-10 ℃ in the pre cooling unit and separated from moisture;

3. Purification: The remaining water, carbon dioxide, and hydrocarbons in the air in the molecular sieve purifier;

4. Air expansion: Air expands and cools in an expander, providing the required cooling capacity for the device;

5. Heat exchange: The air exchanges heat with the returned oxygen, nitrogen, and dirty nitrogen in the heat exchanger of the fractionation tower, and is cooled to a temperature close to the liquefaction temperature. The returned oxygen, nitrogen, and dirty nitrogen are repeatedly heated to the ambient temperature;

6. Subcooling: The liquid air and liquid nitrogen before subcooling throttling in the subcooler;

7. Distillation: Air is distilled and separated in the distillation tower, obtaining product nitrogen at the top of the upper tower and product oxygen at the bottom of the upper tower.
