Spiral conveyors have been widely used in various sectors of the national economy, such as building materials, metallurgy, chemical engineering, electricity, coal, machinery, light industry, grain, and food industries. They are suitable for conveying powder, granular, and small materials, such as cement, coal powder, grain, fertilizers, ash, sand, coke, etc. It is not suitable to transport materials that are prone to deterioration, high viscosity, and clumping. The working environment temperature of LS screw conveyors is usually -20~40 ℃, and the temperature of transported materials is generally -20~80 ℃. LS screw conveyors are suitable for horizontal and small inclination arrangements, with an inclination angle not exceeding 15 °. If the inclination angle is too large, please choose the GX series screw conveyor or contact our company's technical department for separate design.

 

The overall layout of LS type screw conveyor:

A screw conveyor usually consists of three parts: the screw conveyor body, inlet and outlet devices, and driving devices.

The main body of the screw machine consists of three types: the head section, the middle section, and the tail section. In general, during the final assembly at the factory, the intermediate sections are arranged in order of length. The longest intermediate section is close to the head section, while the same length intermediate sections are placed together. If there are special requirements, the order of arrangement is given when ordering.

A thrust bearing is installed in the head section to withstand axial force, and a bearing is installed in the middle and tail sections to support the spiral shaft. In addition, a radial bearing that can move axially is also installed in the tail section to compensate for errors in the length of the spiral shaft and adapt to temperature changes. There are two types of spiral surfaces: solid spiral (S method) and belt spiral (D method). The flange type connection is used between each spiral shaft, ensuring the interchangeability of the connecting shaft and facilitating maintenance.

The cover is tiled and clamped onto the casing with a cover buckle. If sealing performance needs to be improved, users can add waterproof canvas between the cover and the casing themselves.

There are four types of feeding and discharging devices: feeding port, square discharging port, manual discharging port, and rack discharging port. The user shall weld the opening on the machine body at the use site. When arranging the position of the material inlet and outlet, attention should be paid to ensuring the distance from the material outlet to the end, and avoiding collisions between the material outlet and the bearing oil cup, casing connection flange, base, etc.

There are two types of driving devices: ZQ series reducer+Y series motor, and YTC gear reducer motor.

The screw conveyor has a novel structure and advanced technical indicators. The head and tail bearings are moved outside the shell, and the middle suspension bearing adopts two structures that can be interchanged: rolling and sliding. Both are equipped with dustproof sealing devices, and the discharge end is equipped with a cleaning device. The whole machine has low noise, strong adaptability, convenient operation and maintenance, and flexible layout of the inlet and outlet positions.

Spiral conveyors are widely used in industries such as chemical, building materials, grain and oil, feed, food, metallurgy, mining, plastics, pharmaceuticals, etc; Suitable for conveying powdery, granular, and small materials such as cement, coal powder, grain, fertilizer, ash, sand, etc. with a horizontal or less than 20 degree inclination angle, with a material temperature below 200 degrees.


Introduction to U-shaped screw conveyor:

The U-shaped screw conveyor is designed and manufactured according to the JB/T679-95 "Screw Conveyor" standard, and is a replacement product of the GX type screw conveyor. Screw conveyor, commonly known as a twisted dragon, is a widely used conveying equipment in the mineral, feed, grain and oil, and construction industries. From the perspective of conveying material displacement direction, screw conveyor can be divided into two types: horizontal screw conveyor and vertical screw conveyor, mainly used for horizontal transportation and vertical lifting of various loose materials such as powder, granular, and small pieces. Spiral conveyors are all made of steel, and are used to transport chemical and building materials products such as powders or solid particles with high temperatures. The internal part of the screw conveyor has a conveying pipe, and the blades are welded in a spiral shape on the conveying pipe

When the screw conveyor is working, the motor drives the rotating screw blades to push the material forward and transport it. The force that prevents the material from rotating with the screw conveyor blades is the weight of the material itself and the frictional resistance of the screw conveyor shell to the material. The spiral blades welded on the rotating shaft of the screw conveyor have different surface shapes according to the conveyed materials, such as solid surface, belt surface, and blade surface. The U-shaped screw conveyor is suitable for small-scale operations, with stable conveying and can function well under the limitations of the conveying site. However, the U-shaped screw conveyor is not suitable for long-distance transportation and has a higher cost compared to belt conveyors, which can easily cause crushing and other damage to fragile materials.
