Incoloy 825 [1] is a highly corrosion-resistant nickel based alloy with high Ni content, which has extremely high corrosion resistance to both oxidizing and non oxidizing acids.
Incoloy 825 alloy has excellent comprehensive corrosion resistance to both oxidizing and non oxidizing acids due to its high content of Cr, Mo, and Cu. Especially for sulfuric acid, it has extremely high corrosion resistance. Due to the high content of Cr, Mo, and Ni, it has excellent resistance to point corrosion, gap corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride environments. Incoloy 825 alloy controls the carbon content at an extremely low level, making it less susceptible to sensitization during welding and less sensitive to intergranular corrosion.
