Rhenium series

Metal rhenium is expensive and rarely used alone. It is mainly used as an additive for high-temperature alloys to improve their creep resistance.

Adding a small amount of rhenium to tungsten and molybdenum can greatly improve their low-temperature brittleness, enhance their low-temperature deformation ability, and have better high-temperature stability.

WRe has good plasticity and high-temperature strength, and is used for high-temperature structural components, X-ray targets, electrodes, thermocouples, etc.

MoRe has good plasticity and high-temperature strength, and is used for high-temperature structural components, heating elements, targets, thermocouples, etc.
