Paragin sugarPalatinose, also known as Isomaltulose, has a molecular weight of 342.30 and is naturally present in sugarcane juice and honey at trace levels. It has good safety. Unlike sucrose, the disaccharide bond transitions from (1-2) to (1-6), which means that non reducing disaccharides (sucrose) are converted to reducing disaccharides (isomeric sucrose), with a reducing ability of about 52% of glucose. The crystal was made in 1957 in Germany and named Pa1atinose after the local place name Pa1atin. It is a white crystal, sweet and odorless, with a sweetness of about 42% of that of sucrose. It is pure in sweetness and basically the same as sucrose. Its main feature is anti caries. It can be enzymatically hydrolyzed in the intestinal tract and slowly absorbed by the human body, which has little impact on the blood sugar value. It is beneficial to the prevention and treatment of diabetic patients and the prevention of excessive fat accumulation. Paragin sugar is widely used as an anti caries and functional sweetener in foods such as chewing gum, candy, and sports drinks, and is currently mainly produced through enzymatic methods.
