1、 Product Introduction:

Wire mesh demister, also known as foam catcher or mist catcher. It is mainly used for separating straight 3 μ M~5 μ Droplets of m. When gas with liquid droplets rises at a certain speed and passes through the metal wire mesh mounted on the grid, due to the inertia of the rising liquid droplets, they collide with the fine wire and adhere to the surface of the fine wire. The liquid droplets on the surface of the filaments further diffuse and settle by gravity, causing the droplets to form larger droplets that flow along the filaments to their interweaving points. Due to the wettability of the filaments, the surface tension of the liquid, and the capillary action of the filaments, the droplets become larger and larger until their own gravity exceeds the combined buoyancy of the gas rising and the surface tension of the liquid. They are separated and fall, flowing into downstream equipment of the container. As long as the operating conditions such as gas speed are selected properly, the gas passing through the wire mesh defoamer can achieve a defoaming efficiency of over 97%, fully achieving the goal of removing mist.

The diameter of dispersed droplets in gases encountered in normal chemical operations is approximately 0.1-5000 μ M. Generally, the particle size is 100 μ The separation problem of particles above m is easy to solve due to their fast settling speed. Usually with a diameter greater than 50 μ The droplets of m can be separated by gravity sedimentation method; five μ Droplets above m can be separated using inertial collision and centrifugation methods; For smaller mist, efforts should be made to gather and form larger particles, or fiber filters and electrostatic demisters should be used.

The standard types are riser type (1404), reduced diameter type (1405), and full diameter type (1406). The diameter of the demister ranges from 300mm to 6400mm, and there are two types of wire mesh heights: 100mm and 150mm. When ordering, only the drawing number and the material used need to be provided.

This standard is mainly applicable to situations where cleaning or replacement of defoamer components is frequently required, such as drying towers and absorption towers in sulfuric acid plants. There are 56 types of nominal diameters selected, ranging from DN300mm to DN5000mm. When placing an order, only the drawing number and the selected material need to be provided (among which 316L, NS-80, and RS-2 are the mesh materials selected for the sulfuric acid plant).
