1、 Structural features

Structure (taking GGB type as an example)

The rolling linear guide pair is composed of a guide rail, a slider body, a steel ball, a return device, a cage, a sealing device, etc. (see Figure 1). When the guide rail moves relative to the slider, the steel ball rolls along the four hardened and ground raceways on the guide rail. At the end of the slider, the steel ball enters the raceway through the return device (return device) and then enters the return hole. The steel ball then moves in a circular motion. The two ends of the deflector are equipped with dustproof sealing end covers, which can effectively prevent dust and debris from entering the interior of the slider.

2、 Advantages

The rolling linear guide pair is a type of steel ball placed between the slider and the guide rail, which converts the sliding friction between the slider and the guide rail into rolling friction, greatly reducing the frictional resistance between the two, thereby obtaining:

a. The difference between the dynamic and static friction forces is very small, and the follow-up performance is excellent, that is, the time interval between the driving signal and the mechanical action lag is very short, which is beneficial for improving the response speed and sensitivity of the CNC system.

b. The driving power has significantly decreased, only one tenth of that of ordinary machinery.

c. Compared with sliding guides, the frictional resistance can be reduced by about 40 times.

d. Adapted to high-speed linear motion, its instantaneous speed is about 10 times higher than that of a sliding guide.

e. Can achieve high positioning accuracy and repeated positioning accuracy.

◆ It can achieve seamless motion and improve the motion stiffness of the mechanical system.

When using guide rail pairs in pairs, there is an "error equalization effect", which reduces the machining accuracy requirements of the basic components (guide rail installation surface) and reduces the mechanical manufacturing cost and difficulty of the basic components.

◆ The section of the guide rail auxiliary raceway adopts a reasonable ratio of arc grooves, which has low contact stress, greatly improved bearing capacity and stiffness compared to the contact between the plane and the steel ball point, and significantly reduced rolling friction compared to the double arc raceway.

◆ The guide rail adopts surface hardening treatment to ensure good correctability; Maintain good mechanical properties at the heart.
