Application scope of milling excavator
Milling excavators can be widely used for excavating tunnels, ditches, and municipal pipelines; Road surface fragmentation, mining, rock and permafrost excavation; Excavation of open-pit coal mines, surface excavation, as well as various construction fields such as steel industry and forestry.
(1) In most cases, milling excavators are only used for excavating the tunnel outline when applied to tunnel excavation. However, in suitable strata such as medium and low hardness rock layers and frozen soil layers, milling excavators can be directly used for tunnel excavation, especially in the process of excavation with low disturbance to the strata and high safety. In fragmented rock layers and old loess, the excavation volume can reach 30-60m3/h
(2) Milling excavators are particularly suitable for areas that are not suitable for blasting construction; The milling excavator has simple operation, high controllability, and clear and accurate excavation contour lines; It can easily solve problems such as under excavation and repair, internal surface grooving, and excavation of side ditches in tunnels.
(3) Excavation: On site excavation is generally carried out in two steps, namely the two-step step method. Due to the need to store all equipment on the steps, the distance between the upper and lower steps is 800-1100 meters. Step by step excavation and support: After excavation, use steel mesh, steel grating, and shotcrete to support the tunnel. In soft rock, the depth of each excavation depends on the condition of the rock layer on the face of the tunnel and the pre design of the tunnel design unit, generally ranging from 50 to 80cm
4) Excavation cycle: After using a milling excavator for excavation, the excavator exits the face and stops at the side wall of the tunnel. Then the loader starts to move out, and after the movement is completed, the support structure installation and spraying work are immediately carried out, followed by the next cycle of excavation construction.
(5) The excavation problem solved after the support was just completed: the speed of the milling excavator excavating in the clay (taking TD140 milling excavator combined with a 30 ton excavator as an example) is about 30-60m3/h. When using a milling excavator to excavate in a clay layer, it is rare for the blade to be wrapped in clay and unable to be used. You can rinse the blade with water or use a milling excavator to mill some dry and hard surrounding rock
