The DRK311 Derek Water Vapor Permeability Tester is an independent electrolytic method with three chambers. The instrument is suitable for measuring the water vapor permeability of plastic films, composite films, and other film and sheet materials. By measuring the water vapor transmittance, the technical indicators of packaging materials and other products can be controlled and adjusted to meet the different needs of product applications. Testing principle: Clamp the pre processed sample between the testing chambers, with nitrogen gas with a certain relative humidity flowing on one side of the film and dry nitrogen gas flowing on the other side of the film. Due to the presence of humidity gradient, water vapor will diffuse from the high humidity side through the film to the low humidity side. On the low humidity side, the water vapor passing through will be carried to the sensor by the flowing dry nitrogen gas, and when entering the sensor, it will generate an electrical signal in the same proportion, By analyzing and calculating the electrical signal of the sensor, parameters such as the water vapor transmittance of the sample can be obtained.
