A plate heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger that is made by pressing thin metal plates (usually stainless steel) into corrugated heat exchange plates with a certain shape, then adding sealing pads and stacking them (see Figure 1). It mainly consists of components such as plates, sealant pads, clamping bolts, compression plates, and the entire machine frame.
The hot and cold medium flows through their respective channels through adjacent heat exchange plates, and the heat is exchanged through a thin layer of heat exchange plates in the middle.
