1、 Carbon brush single sealing scheme:

According to the carbon brush holder of the original generator, use fiberglass as the frame sealing cover. The carbon brushes are individually inserted into the sealing cover, and the rest are sealed. The suction ports on both sides are connected to the CFS generator carbon brush dust collector.

Sealing modification of generator Slip ring cover:

3、 Design of suction port for dust removal device
There are two options for designing the suction port of the dust removal device:

Option A: Fan inlet with steel wire mesh open type
This plan is simple and does not affect the original host structure. The graphite dust raised by the air flow is sucked into the dust removal device for purification and discharge. The fan mouth must be equipped with a steel wire mesh to prevent foreign objects from being sucked in.
Advantages: simple structure, small occupation of the internal space of the Slip ring cover, and small impact on the maintenance of the main engine.
Disadvantages: some graphite powder will be stuck in the Slip ring cover, which will affect the dust collection.

Option B: Install a vacuum ring on the fan
In this plan, a circular vacuum ring is installed below the carbon brush ring. The vacuum ring corresponds to a vacuum groove located below the carbon brush, and the vacuum ring is connected to the fans on both sides through an air duct. When the carbon brush grinds out dust, it is sucked into the dust removal device by the negative pressure of the suction groove of the lower suction ring, and purified and discharged.
Advantages: The negative pressure of the vacuum groove of the vacuum ring is used to vacuum the carbon brush area, resulting in effective vacuum cleaning.
Disadvantages: It occupies a space inside the Slip ring cover, which may bring inconvenience to the maintenance of the host, and it is difficult to install and process.
