It is extremely unsafe to clean the unit during operation. Working principle:

In general bulb generator units, the rotor excitation is conducted through graphite carbon brushes to conduct excitation current. When the rotor rotates, due to friction with the graphite carbon brush, the graphite carbon brush produces fine carbon powder. These small carbon powder deposits are stored in the generator set, and over time, they can cause leakage current between the excitation positive and negative poles of the generator, endangering the normal operation of the generator set. The general carbon brush dust collector for power generation units mainly uses a dry dust removal system, consisting of an exhaust fan and a filter screen. Its working principle is that the exhaust fan extracts the carbon powder from the generator set, and then filters it through a filter screen. The carbon powder adheres to the generator set with oil stains, making it difficult for ordinary dust collectors to extract it. The dust removal effect is poor and cannot meet the requirements of dust removal. Moreover, even if a small part of the carbon powder containing oil stains is sucked out, these carbon powder containing oil stains will stick to the filter screen, making the cleaning of the filter screen very troublesome.

Sealing modification of generator protective cover (example of bulb type unit modification):

1. Remove the original generator protective cover and use 2mm thick steel plate and 5mm organic glass plate to make an observation window to improve the sealing. Reliable.
Specific implementation:
(1) According to the original arc size above the generator protective cover, make the arc covers as shown in Figure 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, which can be independently disassembled; When installing circular arc plates 1, 2, and 4, use the original bolt holes as installation holes; Re drill and tap the bolt holes with arcs 3 and 5 according to the center circle of the bolt holes with arcs 1, 2, and 4 above; Bolt holes are also opened at the intersection of 3 and 5 with the bracket for fixation.
(2) A door panel is opened on the side of the arc at points 2, 3, 4, and 5, which can be fixed and easily disassembled by screws. The door panel is equipped with an organic glass panel for easy observation of the internal carbon brush situation.

The generator carbon brush dust collector is equipped with a high-pressure air blowing device inside the CFS generator carbon brush dust collector, which blows high-pressure air into the interior of the generator set to blow up the carbon powder with oil stains inside the generator set. According to the carbon brush holder of the original generator, use fiberglass as a frame to make a sealing cover. The carbon brush extends into the sealing cover, and the rest is sealed.
